Ryan's Birthday

I really miss hanging out with all my nephews and nieces. I miss watching Topher constantly fighting off imaginary villains, I miss reading with Naomi as she explains to me what a "Bee" is. I miss Maddie fixing my hair for me. I miss watching Caroline dress up and dance to the frozen song. I just miss walking around the pool with August 800 times a day. Beckham, I miss you too, even if I haven't met you yet.
Luckily, we live right next to Kyle's sister, Leslie and and her husband, who have 4 boys. They are crazy! But so much fun. Spending time with them helps distract me from the other little people I miss so much.
Do here are a few pictures from the most recent family get together, Ryan's 5th birthday!

My Home Away From Home

I love Nevada. I am living in a little town just south of Carson City called Gardnerville. I have been here just over a month now and have found a place to live with a family from Kyle's home ward. I have found a job that I love at the Carson Valley Animal Hospital. I was just promoted from a patient care assistant ( aka a kennel kid) to a vet assistant. I am really excited about it. I begin my training tomorrow. Lastly, I bought my first car. It's an Isuzu Trooper, I hadn't ever heard of it until I bought one, but so far so good. I have had so many blessings in my life that has made this move easy to adjust to. Kyle's family is so great and has bent over backwards to help me in anyway that they can. They have made me feel so welcome and have helped me feel a lot less home sick. But I still miss all the crazy people I left behind and can't wait to see everyone at Christmas!!!

 Virgina City

We went to Scheels to catch some fish.

I asked Kyle to pick me out a dress and these were the ones that he liked. Look at all (2) of the colors.

DUMB DOG: I stayed at Kyle's Aunt Billies house for a few nights while Rachel was in town and took care of the Tucker. I liked him for the most part until he fell asleep and began to snore.

My little house: I'm renting out a room from some members, the Millers, in Kyle's ward for a little.  Its just above their garage and has a little kitchen, living area, bathroom, and a TV. Its really nice to have my own space.

 Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe

 Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe

Rachel, Ross, and I (Kyle had to work :(  took an afternoon and hiked down to Emerald Bay. In the middle of the bay there is an island with a castle on it, where an old lady used to have her tea every afternoon. While we were there a river boat went by that reminded my of the ones they have on the Savannah River. It was nice to see a little bit of home all the way out here.

Rachel likes to stack rocks, it did look pretty cool.

 Carson Valley Animal Hospital

This poor little kitty came in after they found their husky chewing on him in their back yard.

My coworker's dog trying to wake up from sedation.

So I am no longer a fan of Labs. They are the biggest babies in the wold! The constantly cry when they are left alone in their cages and it is so annoying. We couldn't take the whimpering any more so we finally gave this little guy a kitty friend just to give our ears our rest.

My coworker Paula ( and my first friend in Nevada) when we had a puppy in isolation (room for highly contagious animals) for a virus it had. We have to dress up like this everytime we had to go out and check on him.

The candy mom sent to Kyle and me for Halloween.

I miss my hick family. Tyler, how dare you hurt that bird's feelings :)
