St. Anthony Sandbar

This is as close as Idaho can get to a beach so of course this is my 3rd visit to it :) Its a little sandbar just off a river in a neighboring town. Its a little different than Tybee ( lots of one-piece bathing suits!), but relaxing and a good way to spend and afternoon just the same.

We ran into Tyler Ely there. We preferred to stay warm on the shore than catch hypothermia from the glacier run off of a river everyone else seemed to be enjoying so much. Georgians :)

That's a slide behind us not a sewer pipe.

It was less painful to go through trees than to step in the frozen river of death

Barnes/Pasche Olympics and a Cook Out

The weather is FINALLY nice enough to spend sometime outside. We wanted to make the most out of the month of summer Rexburg generously gives us each year and decided to have a cook out in Smith Park.

1st Post

I didn't think I'd ever start a blog, but since most of the family pictures and videos we took today are too embarrassing to put on Facebook for the world to see, I figure today would be a good day to start.

I named my blog "The Grass is Green Enough" because I tend to count down for everything. I count down the hours during class, the days during the semester, the months until Christmas, everything. Then I find that once I reach the end of my count down and finally reach the day I've been looking forward to for months, I realize that I'm sad. I unexpectedly miss the days I was trying so hard to rush through to reach something better on the other side. I want to enjoy the moments I'm in, instead of thinking the grass is greener on the other side. Enjoy the moments your in and realize that the grass is green enough where you are.
